Brooke Ostronic

Assistant Stylist

How many years have you been in the industry?

I have been in the industry since 2015. My dream of becoming a hairstylist began when I was very young. My mother has been a Master Stylist for over 36 years, so I have been around the industry pretty much my whole life. From folding towels and sweeping floors, to working the front desk at another salon in Omaha, I’ve always had an eye for hair. I attended Capitol School of Hairstyling and Esthetics, one of Nebraska’s top rated Cosmetology schools, graduating in 2015.

What inspires you or feeds your creativity?

What inspires your creativity? I am greatly inspired through Instagram and Celebrity stylists. I spend a lot of time scrolling through social media watching tutorials in admiration of other stylists hard work, talent, and dedication to the business. I love trying new techniques and I always stay on top of the latest trends.

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?

I would be an Elephant. They are among the most intelligent and gentle creatures. They’re strong, devoted, compassionate, and unstoppable. The also have excellent learning abilities.
Loyalty and compassion are very important to me, standing by people who encourage you and support the things you love.

Why Kontempo. ?

I chose Kontempo. because I want to provide the best customer service and education to exceed my clients expectations. Team work, enthusiasm, and education are some of my top priorities I look for in a work place. I knew this salon would help me advance in my career and my love for education.

What is your absolute favorite place or space?

My favorite place would most definitely be the lake. Ill take a sunset on the lake, over a night on the town, every chance I get. Give me a boat, a lake and the sunshine on my face and you’ll make me the happiest girl in the world.

What is ONE industry product you can’t live without?

My curling iron for sure! I have thin, fine and naturally straight hair. I always struggled curling my own hair growing up and let me tell you, it definitely takes A LOT of practice. You’ll hardly ever see me with straight hair!
